Interested in a Textile Recycling Bank?

External textile banks can be a great way to support long-term textile recycling and fundraising for our partners.

Due to their security requirements and composition of the banks, Textile Banks are very expensive, and often require 24/7 access to produce funds.

We work with schools, charities and community groups to determine the most suitable and profitable recycling solution for you.

If your group generates a high volume of textiles and has space for a bank, we can assess whether this is the best option for you.

Our Charity Partners

Dragon Bags is proud to be an official recycling partner of The Firefighters Charity.

The Fire Fighters Charity is an excellent charity actively supporting fire fighters in need. Whether injured, ill or in need of psychological support to come to terms with the life and death situations they face on a daily basis, they exist to support the everyday heroes of the UK fire community.

Each year The Firefighters Charity relies on textile recycling to help meet fundraising targets.

If you would like to support this charity with your collections, please inform us when booking.

FAQs

Which collection option is best for my school or organisation?

Each option has its own benefits:

  • ‘Daffi Day’ Bag Collections – Perfect for schools, community groups and organisations looking for a quick, easy and continuous way to raise funds without needing long-term storage.
  • External Textile Bank (Assessment only) – Suitable for groups that generate a high volume of textiles regularly and have limited indoor space.
    • Since banks are a significant investment, we will assess whether this is the best solution for your group.

If you’re unsure which option works best, contact us, and we’ll help you choose the most suitable recycling solution for your needs!

How often are collections?

Collections can be as many times as required, but please make sure your banks are full or you have a significant amount of bags to collect.

How much do you pay per kilo or tonne of clothing?

We pay up to 30p per kilo which is £300 per tonne of clothing.
