Following our fantastic success of our Autumn-Term Welsh Eco-Champion Competition, Dragon Bags were very excited to announce Ysgol Tir Morfa Primary School as the winner of the competition. They managed to raise a staggering £564.50 for their chosen charity, by recycling 1,129kg worth of clothes and shoes.
Last Friday, Simon from Dragon Bags, attended the school to proudly present their cheque.
Penley Madras Primary School came in at a close 2nd place and St Mary’s Church in Wales Primary School came in at 3rd.
We have now started our Spring-Term Welsh Eco-Champion Competition is now well underway. If you are already signed up to our scheme, you are automatically entered into the competition. However, if you have not yet signed up, then you still have plenty of time to be entered into our competition.
57% of people say they recycle their textiles with 41% of people saying they’re not aware of recycling facilities for textiles .
We offer a free recycling and fundraising scheme to schools across South Wales. All you have to do is sign up and encourage everyone to recycle as much as they can.
